Nestle Maggi Noodles pulled out from India

Nestle’s well-known brand of ”Nestle Maggi Noodles“ failed to pass safety tests and ordered its exclusion from each suppliers over the entire nation. Presently popular Nestle Maggi Noodles are banned for supposedly containing dangerous levels of lead.


A lead is a weighty metal that is discovered naturally in the crust of Earth. Lead in soil can be kept on or consumed by plants, including plants developed for nourishment.

Nestle Global Chief Executive Paul Bulcke vowed that “Maggi noodles are totally safe and have been confided in India for many years."

Numerous Indian states, including New Delhi, Uttrakhand, Jammu-Kashmir and Gujarat, have ordered the taking out of Maggi noodles from each single shop. Sales of Nestle Maggi Noodles have jumped in India from the time when lab tests requested by several state governments revealed the noodles contained lead far higher than officially permitted. The results of tests also recognized that the Maggi contains a chemical flavor enhancer monosodium glutamate/MSG, which is not stated in the list of ingredients of product.

The company said, “Unluckily, recent developments and anxieties regarding the product have prompted to a situation of confusion for the buyer to such a level that we have chosen to take away the product off the racks, regardless of the product being safe”.

Nestle Maggi Noodles are a most loved dish with students, and Nestle’s "two-minute" advertising campaign lay emphasis on the simplicity of making the snack has made it a family name. This instant Maggi noodles are Nestle’s quickest -selling item of food in India, representing around 15 billion rupees in deals every year.

Indian actors Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachhan, and Preity Zinta have also been individually pulled to the court of law for advertising the brand of ‘two-minute’ noodles.

In India, Instant noodles’ brand Nestle has rapidly turned into one of the most loved easy to make after-school snacks.
